Did you know that your toothbrush care is an essential part of your oral health care? To make sure that your brush can continue to keep your mouth free and clean of debris and plaque, you will need to care for your toothbrush and ensure that it can continue to function at its peak levels. If your toothbrush is ever damaged or contaminated, it can make things worse for your oral health.

The first step in caring for your toothbrush is to make sure that it is always stored properly. After using your brush, never place it in an area where it can come into contact with any surfaces. Furthermore, do not store it with other toothbrushes, as contamination could easily occur between multiple brushes. On a similar note, never let anyone use your toothbrush. If you have to travel for any reason, only store it in a closed container for small amounts of time.

When your toothbrush begins to show signs of wear, it will need to be replaced immediately. Typically, your toothbrush will need to be replaced every few months, even if you have been using it properly. For additional help with your oral health care, visit our dentist.
